A Sunday Stroll In The Countryside OOTD

So today I fancied going for a stroll in the countryside and thought I'd share with you what I wore.

My coat is a fairly new purchase from Miss Selfridge. I've been in the market for a 'casual' winter coat for quite a while now because the majority of my coats are a little more on the dressy side. So when I found this I immediately snapped it up. It's faux fur collar provides plenty of warmth and the neutral dark blue colour makes it easy to pair with any outfit.

The oversized knitted jumper I opted for is from Primark. It's super comfy and pairs well with my flower statement necklace which is also surprise, surprise from Primark!

My shoe's are from Kurt Geiger and were a lovely gift from my mum. I love the nude pink patent colour against my black skinny jeans.

Last but not least the lipstick I went for is a gorgeous berry colour by Collection in the shade perfect plum. It's very creamy on the lips and feels very hydrating, I can definitely foresee this becoming a favourite over the Autumn months.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Let me know what you got up to in the comments.

Love Jade x

Pottering Around The Brighton Laines

Untitled
Hello Everyone!

The past couple of weeks have been a touch on the busy side for me. So I decided that this weekend I would have a little bit of me time and do the things that make me happy. So here's what I got up to on Saturday...

Now some of you may already know that my home town is Brighton and one of my favourite things to do there is have a potter about the Laines. For those of you that have never been to Brighton before it may be good to note that the North and South Laines are generally busy, but for a very good reason! They are filled with quaint shops that sell anything and everything, certainly not what you'd expect to see on the high street - which is one of the reasons why I love it so much!

The first stop on my wander was Bagel Man, it's one of my favourite places for a quick lunch. They have a great selection of yummy bagels and fillings, I went for the ATM (Avocado, tomato, mozzarella and basil) YUM

After I'd finished my bagel I decided to head over to one of my favourite vintage shops Snoopers Paradise. It's one of those stores where you need to roll your sleeves up and have a good old rummage! It's packed to the brim with second hand clothes, books, old pictures, crockery and loads more. Here are a few snaps I took to give you an idea.

I purchased two items I found, one of which is an old pencil tin which I'm planning to store either earrings or eyeliners in and the final thing I bought is an old compass which dates back to 1904! I thought this would look lovely on my night stand.

After a good hour or so of boiling my socks off in Snoopers Paradise I was in desperate need of some fresh air! So I moved on and decided to window shop and browse the pop up stands deeper into the North Laines. I spent a couple of hours looking at various books, cards, rugs, bags and a million other things before my feet starting aching and I decided to head to my car and drive home.

Apologies that this post wasn't beauty or fashion related but I thought it might be fun to try something different and give you an insight into what I like to get up to on a day off. If you're interested in seeing more of what I get up to when I'm not working here's a link to a vlog where I take you to London and deeper into the Brighton Laines -

I hope you guys have had a lovely weekend :)

Mini Mac Haul

Untitled
Untitled

So I recently popped into MAC to kill some time before an event I had for London Fashion Week and I ended up picking up a couple of items I thought I would share with you.

Untitled

First up is the MAC 'Studio Sculpt' Foundation. This is a product that has been on my make up wish list for quite sometime now but every time I went to purchase it I always ended up putting it back on the shelf because I felt a sense of guilt spending £25 on just one make up item. However on this particular trip to MAC I got talking to a lovely make up artist called Bianca who offered to touch up my make up with the foundation.

Bianca explained that Studio Sculpt is a gel based foundation that provides full coverage and is aimed to give you a flawless dewy look. Now I am someone who has pretty dry skin so anything that provides a dewy finish is a major selling point for me!

Untitled
For colour reference I wear shade NW20

As soon as she had finished applying the foundation I fell in love and decided to treat myself and I can honestly say that I am so glad I did. It has great staying power and feels very moisturising on the skin. This is already becoming one of my favourite foundations!

The final thing I purchased was an eyebrow pencil in the shade 'Lingering' Normally I opt for a powder to fill in my brows as I find it looks a little more natural. However with Autumn and Winter soon approaching I thought it might be fun to go for a pencil as they normally create a slightly stronger brow. Most brow pencils I have tried in the past normally throw out a copper undertone however this shade is more on the ash side which matches my brows perfectly and due to it's waxy consistency has definitely helped keep my eyebrows lasting all day. Even though I have only used this a couple of times since I purchased it I can honestly say that this is the best product I have ever used on my brows and will most certainly appear in a future favourites video!

Have you guys tried either of these products before, if so what are your thoughts?

Disclaimer - both of the products were purchased by me and all opinions are my own. Pinky Promise! :)

Urban Decay - Pulp Fiction Collection

Untitled Untitled Untitled

Hello Everybody!

So the last couple of weeks have been super busy for me but also really exciting especially with the run up to London Fashion Week! - Are any of you guys going to any shows, if so let me know in the comments?! :)

So on to the actual topic... If you guys follow me on Instagram or Twitter you may or may not have seen that the lovely team at Urban Decay very kindly sent me their new limited edition Pulp Fiction collection.

Now let me start by saying that when the collection arrived in the post I was quite literally gobsmacked! (Be cool honey bunny, be cool) The collection consists of all of the tools needed to create the iconic 'Mrs Mia Wallace' look.

There are 5 products in total which are variations of Urban Decay's most sought after products:

Untitled

Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Palette

The palette consists of five very versatile shades, three of which are never-before-seen and two current exclusives. The shades are Righteous which is a matte cream, Tyranny and Vengeance which are lovely taupe and brown shades which pair wonderfully as a either a contour or all over the lid colour and finally Furious - a white satin with slight shimmer and Anger a matte black.

Mrs Mia Wallace Revolution Lipstick

This has definitely made me excited for Autumn! The lipstick is very sultry and sophisticated and has a very creamy consistency. The lasting power on this is incredible but can sometimes be problematic when trying to remove before bedtime!

Untitled

Mrs Mia Wallace 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil
This matches the blood-red Lipstick in the collection perfectly however unlike the lipstick it is matte & waterproof. It effortlessly glides on to the lips and helps to prevent feathering - always a must have when wearing a red!

Untitled

Gun Metal Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner
Now I know glitter isn't for everyone and can definitely be tricky to apply but glitter for me is a firm fav. The base of this is clear with silver and black sparkle and looks gorgeous when either applied to line the root of the eyelashes or applied across the entire lid to create a more dramatic look.

Mrs Mia Wallace Nail Colour
If you are subscribed to my YouTube channel you will most likely be well aware that I cant go five minutes without purchasing a nail polish. So when I saw that the collection included a nail colour well you can only imagine my excitement... (ridiculous I know) The colour is absolutely stunning and only takes two coats to be completely opaque. This will most definitely be making a few appearances over the Autumn/ Winter period.

All in all I love the collection, the quality as usual with Urban Decay is impeccable and the colours even though appear dark are very versatile for day/night looks. The collection in my opinion is a must have for Autumn and Winter - Which might I add I am so excited for!

The collection is available in stores now.

What do you guys think of the range?

Love
